Special guest Rev. Dr. Veronice Miles draws insight from the book of Ecclesiastes, as the wise Qoheleth considers her life in retrospect and discovers that despite her best efforts, “all was vanity and chasing after wind.” But all is not lost for Qoheleth. After all of her striving, she discovers an open secret that her quest for success and material wealth had not allowed her to know. She offers that discovery to us as we discern meaning for our lives in a world that too often beckons us toward nihilism.

Dr. Miles is a preacher, teacher and writer. On the faculty at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, her current research on “embodied theology” lifts up the power of preaching to awaken individuals and communities to the voice of hope.  Musical Guest Edward Kim
