Small Group Ministries

The power and purposes of Small Group Ministry (SGM):
Intimacy: SGM helps build community and provides opportunities for friendship.
Ultimacy: SGM provides an opportunity for deeper spiritual exploration and the search for meaning.

Each Small Group Ministry consists of 5 – 12 members and gathers at least once a month. Groups meet at church unless otherwise noted. Each group is open to newcomers who are interested in joining the group. After the 2nd visit, each group asks that you make a decision whether to attend the group regularly. Please contact the facilitator before attending.

Small Groups at Davies

Charles County/Waldorf area: for anyone in Waldorf or the surrounding area. Meets the first Tuesday every month at 7 PM, at the home of Jill Jones in Waldorf 301-645-5811, hmmmingbird[at]gmail.com

Women’s Circle: For all women and any bold men. Meets the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month from 7:30 – 9:30 pm at members’ homes. Meets the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm at members’ homes. Facilitators: Roz Winard and Janet Murphy Read more.

Stitch-n-Bitch (aka Stitchery as it is not really for "bitching" - it just rhymes): For those who stitch, crochet, knit, etc. (or would like to). Meets the 1st Thursday of each month from 7 – 9 pm. Childcare is provided. Facilitators: Andrine Nichols, Maryemma Bohl
