Facilitator led discussions:
1. After 100 days of governing by the Trump administration, what are your joys and/or concerns about America’s future regarding public education, social justice, law and order, race relations, and religious tolerance?
2. Did you know a Negro girl saved George Washington from certain death at the beginning of the Revolution? (A discussion of seven (7) amazing historical facts about black people.) (Readings provided)
3. In its approach to fighting racism, should the UUA adopt an eighth(8th) guiding principle such as the following: “Affirm and promote journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural ‘Beloved Community’ that accountably dismantles racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”
