World events may challenge our optimism. Our communities and workplaces may undermine our values. Privilege and cultural biases may cloud our perspectives. Yet, we can act in ways that help bring about justice. With creativity and collaboration, our lives can embody an alternative to oppression. Join this worship service in the spirit of defiantly and joyously living our values amid trouble and ease.
Dr. Pippin Whitaker comes to us from the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax where she serves as ministerial intern. Currently in her final semester at Meadville Lombard Theological School, she already serves as a community minister who works with organizations and congregations on structural change to dismantle systems of supremacy and embody Unitarian Universalist values.
