LGBTQ Pride Field Trip!

In celebration of LGBTQ Pride and the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, Davies will visit the Newseum’s acclaimed exhibit on the Gay Rights Movement on Saturday, June 1. Sign up at church or email Rev. Norm at minister@dmuuc.org to hold your spot. Participants can gather at the Branch Avenue Metro at 9:30 to travel together, or meet downtown at the Newseum at 10:30. Following our tour, we'll gather for lunch and debrief what we learned. All ages welcome!

We’ll march in our own Pride Parade, sing “We Are Family!” with the Davies Choir, revel in sacred texts from queer poets like Mary Oliver and Walt Whitman, and pay tribute to all those who paved the way to freedom.
