A Dialog On Race and Ethnicity (ADORE) will take place on Nov. 13, 2015 starting with a potluck dinner at 6:30 PM. The discussion will start ~7 PM. Please join us and invite your friends and anyone you know who might be interested or live in the Prince George’s County area of Maryland.
Rod Sterling said, “There are weapons that are simply thoughts. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy.” Having a dialog can help adjust one’s thoughts, like those that are in your subconscious from childhood and the media that have told you one way to think about a group of people or any people who look or behave a certain way. We know much more about how the brain works and that we can help to change the way we behave by changing our subconscious thoughts through deliberate means of counter-acting them. Dialog in a diverse community on a regular basis can help with that.
This event is free and open to the public. Bringing food is optional.
